KARACHI, Apr. 4 (PR): KCCA Secretary Prof Aijaz Ahmed Farooqui has said that though Pakistan lost the semi final, yet Pakistan team played well in the World Cup and deserves accolades. ìWe started the World Cup amid clouds of spot-fixing and other crisis and merged as a better side after the World Cup, it is a big achievement.
He also lauded the role of PSWA in honouroing the sports persons and organizers and organizing a galaxy of event all through the year to add colours to the city atmosphere. He was speaking at Pakistan Sports Awards ceremony held by Pakistan Sports Welfare Association. The host Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Khursheed Ahmed, Muhammad Asalm Khan, Mushtaq Ahmed, Olympian Iftikhar Syedm, Dr S A Majid, Muhammad Hanif Mirchiwala, Mazahir Hussain, Faisal Amjad and Abdul Razzaq were also present.
